I DID THE OPPA GANGNAM DANCE

SEPTEMBER 17, 2012

THE ADMIN CLUSTER OF OUR LGU WAS TASKED TO HOST THE FLAG RAISING CEREMONY, AND PART OF THE HOSTING IS THAT EMPLOYEES OF THE CLUSTER SHALL GIVE A SPECIAL INTERMISSION NUMBER.

THE DEMAND OF WORK HAS BEEN SO HIGH DURING THE PREVIOUS WEEKS, AND AFTER SO MANY POSTPONEMENT OF BEING THE HOST, WE WERE FINALLY GIVEN NOTICE OF THE HOSTING DAY. AND WE HAD LIKE THREE DAYS TO PREPARE FOR THE INTERMISSION NUMBER. WE DECIDED TO DO AN EASY DANCE NUMBER:

OPPA GANGNAM STYLE by PSY

IT IS THE CURRENT SONG HIT AND LATEST DANCE CRAZE.
EVERYONE WOULD WANT TO DO IT. SO WE NEVER LET THE CHANCE SLIP OFF FROM OUR FORTUNATE HANDS. I DID THE CHOREOGRAPHY, AND HAD FIVE OTHERS (WHO ARE NOT REALLY DANCERS) TO TEACH HOW TO DO THE GANGNAM DANCE.

WE WERE SO LUCKY TO DO IT FOR THE FIRST TIME AS AN INTERMISSION NUMBER.

THE LADY WHO CAME IN WAS NOT REALLY A PART OF THE PRESENTATION. SHE HAS A MENTAL ILLNESS AND WENT UP WITHOUT ASKING FOR PERMISSION. WE WERE ALL SURPRISED AS THE CROWD, BUT I WAS GLAD ALL MY CO-DANCERS NEVER GOT DISTRACTED.

WE NEVER MADE FUN OF THE UNEXPECTED GUEST DURING OUR DANCE NUMBER. WE WERE SURPRISED. REALLY. AND WE'RE EVEN WORRIED THAT OUR BLOCKINGS COULD BE AFFECTED. IT'S JUST THAT WE THOUGHT THAT THE SHOW MUST GO ON. WHATEVER EXTRA ACTION WAS DONE, IT MAY HAVE BEEN DONE TO SUSTAIN THE ENJOYMENT THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE CROWD HAD.

P.S. TO PUT HER OUT OF THE STAGE WOULD HAVE ENRAGED HER. SHE EVEN WANTED TO SING.
